Seattle, Washington - Page 2

After the Pioneer Square tour we drove on to our own "digs" for the night in Tukwila. It's just a few miles south of Seattle and very close to Sea-Tac airport. Map.

This is a view out our window. It was advertised as a "river view". More of a canal, I'd say, but better than a parking lot. This was our last stop. The next day, Tuesday, we would spend in Seattle and then Wednesday it would be the ten-minute drive to Sea-Tac, return the rental, and board for home.

Our first stop on Tuesday, was the Sci-Fi Museum. This attraction shares a building with the Experimental Music Project in the park with the famous Space Needle. Note also the famous dreary Seattle sky.

In the Sci-Fi Museum we were greeted by old friend Gort.

We enjoyed the Sci-Fi Museum but never figured out what the EMP was about.
We heard some awful sounds coming from it though, while we were eating lunch in the building café.

After lunch we drove over to the nearby Museum of Flight. Marty had to put up with a lot of aviaton exhibitions, didn't she?
She doesn't seem to mind too much though. She's a good wife.

And Don got to try something he's always wanted to do ever since he flunked out of astronaut school.
